Welcome to Mountain View Elementary

The staff of Mountain View Elementary create an educational climate that encourages each child to grow academically, physically and socially to the best of their ability.

Mountain View Elementary is a K-7 elementary school consisting of approximately 421 students in 20 divisions.  We have a proud history of being a central part of our community and we strive to create a safe, caring and engaging learning environment.

In the last few years our school has:

• developed and implemented school wide Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports
• completed staff training in “Reading Power”
• competed in numerous district championships in extracurricular sports competitions
• executed a full earthquake preparation practice
• initiated a school-wide technology update with chrome books, i pads, and other technologies to enhance student learning
• installed a community-built art mural gracing our entrance
• taken global action
